Vet2Tech "Refer a Vet" Program

Do you know veterans interested in careers as commercial food equipment service technicians… but lack experience?

If so, we'd love for you to join Vet2Tech's "Refer a Vet" program.

Vet2Tech (a national non-profit organization) provides scholarship funding to qualified veterans for enrollment in the Ignitor Labs Basic Technician Training Program. The program provides veterans with the "Hot Side" foundation needed to become a commercial food equipment repair technician. The program was developed in partnership with the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association and teaches the fundamentals of electricity, gas, and steam.

Veterans deserve the opportunity to train for jobs that utilize the skills they learned in the military. They bring their dedication to service and loyalty to any company lucky enough to hire them. It's easy to refer future veteran technicians!

Instructions:

1. First, add the "Vet2Tech" badge to your website:

  • Enter your company’s name, city, and state; then click "Generate Code."
  • Click on "Copy to Clipboard" to automatically copy the HTML code to your clipboard and paste it into the source code of your company's website; or contact your webmaster to do so. It's a very simple update that only takes a couple of minutes.

2. Refer veteran candidates to your website:

  • Have veteran candidates click on the "Vet2Tech" badge from your website.
  • On the Vet2Tech site, they will fill out a short form to request more information.
  • A Vet2Tech enrollment counselor will contact them with information about the program and qualify them for the veteran scholarship.

3. Once the veteran enrolls in the program:

  • One of our enrollment counselors will contact you to inform you of the veteran's enrollment.
  • Upon completion of the program the veteran will be directed back to your company for an interview.
